Anti-Gravity

green and gleaming it falls
tumbling from its leafy place
secreted away from grasping
hands and biting mouths
green and gleaming it falls
with every bounce a marring
bruise as downward it hurls
towards earth a final jarring
bump then rolling stop the
view from down to up is far
but not so distant that creamy
yellow blossoms go unnoticed
fragrant beauties yet untainted by
the ravages of avarice and voracity

  2. It’s interesting how the apple seems to be jealous of the blossom- sort of an age-youth thing going on there in addition to parts, wholes, giving up, hanging on – lots going on in a deceptively simple piece. Thanks!

  3. These verses are sweet and your deep as your soul!
They slip into the depths of the unconscious colorful!.
    With love:)
