Shedding 200 lbs. through sheer grit 5 years ago to recently breaking a company’s sales record of $500,000 in only 2 months, Peter Ajello has not only earned his title as “Weight Loss King,” but he has also revealed that weight loss and financial success are key ingredients in the same recipe. His “tell it like it is” tips are applicable to anyone who wants to improve their physical and financial health.

“I’m motivated to hit $1,000,000 in sales by the end of the year.” Peter Ajello is anything but a typical salesman. As Project Manager of Nu-Crete Surgeons, LLC, a subdivision of Xtreme Polishing Systems that specializes in commercial and residential concrete floor polishing and design, Peter is passionate about his job after dropping pounds. Friend and owner of Nu-Crete, Chris Lavin, named Peter “Salesman of the Month” because his sales broke every previous company record.

Lavin is also confident that good health means increased sales. Lavin was so inspired by Dan McDonald AKA “Life Regenerator,” that he hired a raw food chef to prep meals for Peter and his other employees. Peter commends Lavin’s support along with Peter’s partner, David Issan. “I really couldn’t have done any of this without Dave,” Peter says, and, “Chris offers such a healthy working environment.”

Peter wasn’t always the picture of health and financial success. In 2007 and weighing 445 lbs., he was tired—too tired from consuming junk food to work full-time at XPS in Deerfield Beach as a salesman for Chris Lavin. He was lethargic and embarrassed to face clients. He was eating himself into a financial tailspin. He had a hard time dragging himself off the couch to go to work.

After self-reflection—or maybe it was the $15,000 bet from his buddies that he couldn’t drop 100 lbs. in 5 months—Peter found his will power and polished it till it gleamed. By using weight loss principles, he put his mind over body and lost 200 lbs. without stomach staples or gastric bypass. He became “Boca’s Biggest Loser” and documented this narrative in his book “Mind Over Body.”

He didn’t regain his life. He earned a new one—filled with compassion, success, a great lifestyle and much gratitude. Peter Tunney, acclaimed modern artist and Peter’s mentor stated, “Say only what you mean, be humble and embrace life—then you will have success.” Peter did and has reaped the rewards. He encourages anyone who wants physical and financial success, “If you speak from the heart, am grateful and work hard just like I trained hard, you can achieve any goal.”

Peter Ajello, seen on “The Doctors” show, is the author of “Mind Over Body” available on Amazon and rated 5 out of 5 stars. “Mind Over Body” chronicles Peter’s journey from 5XL shirts, size 56 pants and a diabetic stroke to weight loss success. His second book “The Chocolate Diet” is scheduled for release before Valentine’s Day and reveals how he shed pounds with the help of special organic chocolates. As a guest speaker, Peter has toured the country encouraging thousands of people to take their weight and in turn, their success, into their own hands.

Weight Loss King of South Florida

This blog post is dedicated to my buddy Peter Ajello (formerly a.k.a.  Fat Pete or The Funny Fat Guy now known as The Weight Loss King of South Florida).  There’s many things I could say about him but, since this is a shorter post, I’ll keep the list to a minimum (okay, I’ll try).  Not only have I known him since Pope John Paul II High School (where he was one of two freshmen to make the varsity football team), after we reconnected on facebook nearly 19 years later, he has become a great friend.  Pete’s life from around age 13 to now is one hell of an amazing story.  So amazing that Pete and I are co-authoring a book entitled Mind Over Body that details his incredible (and sometimes shocking) life encounters with food, drugs, and much more.  Pete is a guy who, against all odds and with the help of family and friends, survived a diabetic stroke, got clean, ended up on The Doctors Show on CBS, trains with Kari Williams (a dedicated trainer with a no nonsense approach), receives nutritional advice from Pascal Durand (yep, former Mr. Paris in body building 1991), has been mentored by Peter Tunney (a famous artist and one of Pete’s best friends), met President Obama, had a skin removal surgery donated by renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Pozner (of Boca Raton, Fl), and has been written about in over 3,000 newspaper and magazine articles worldwide (take your pick).  Most importantly, Pete inspires others to live healthy lives by eating well and exercising.  Yeah, you think that’s something?  Pete, at his heaviest, weighed nearly 425 lbs. and was determined to shed the excess fat (not through gastric bypass surgery or stomach staples) but by putting his mind over his body.  Literally.  Basically, stepping it up, taking his life back, and kicking some metabolic ass in the process.  The fact that a $17,000 bet from his best friends helped to jump start the weight loss was incredible as well (and the reality that Pete bet on himself and WON is freaking awesome).  Pete ended up shedding 200 lbs. in 16 months! He wants everyone out there who’s struggling to lose weight to just do it!  Pete wants you to know that you can reverse diabetes (like he did), you can restore your self-esteem, get healthy, and live the life you deserve to live!  In the upcoming months, check bookshelves for Mind Over Body and, in the meantime, take a look at his website  http://www.peterajello.com/.  Pete, here’s to you!  Mind Over Body, baby!
