One of the all time greats. Sorry I never had the opportunity to see him play when he was alive. Have seen most of the rest of the band multiple times … Elvin Jones, McCoy Tyner … also Pharoah Sanders and some of the others on A Love Supreme.
Ohhh, it would have been amazing to hear him live. You’re lucky you were able to hear the others! Jealous! My brother composes and plays jazz and I love hearing his works performed. Such a great genre!
